My name is Jade Martinez, I am a graduate of the class of 2016 from Sterling Public Highschool. I am currently enrolled at Sauk; at this time, I am finishing up some of my general education classes to apply for the Radiologic Technology program. I have completed an associates of applied science degree at Kirkwood Community College, I studied Hotel Management. I had been working at a hotel in the quad cities, it was during this time that I decided while I enjoyed helping guest whether they were in town for a conference or had escaped reality for a vacation, I wasn’t truly satisfied with the work I was doing. This decision is what has led me back to Sauk to pursue a career in the medical setting to further help those in our local communities.
With this award you have granted me, I am that much closer to accomplishing my goal. I’d like to take the time to sincerely thank all of those who have taken the time to consider me an individual worthy of receiving such an award, it will greatly help with the financial burden that comes with furthering ones education. As a student, I hope that you see the success and the growth that many of us undergo with the support that not only Sauk but as well as the foundations provide us.
