I am writing to thank you for your generous Jerry Weston Mathis Memorial Scholarship. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship and am deeply appreciative of your support. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for funding my education to Sauk Valley Community College.
I am a communications major in which I am pursuing a career in which I can use my talents to their fullest. I am currently completing my final sophomore class this summer at Sauk Valley, with the intent to transfer to Anderson University in which I can pursue my bachelor’s degree and graduate in 2023. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to my goal. The financial assistance you provided will be of great help to me in paying my educational expenses, and it will allow me to concentrate more of my time for studying.
