J Pohly Memorial Scholarship and the Scott & Vivian Hitchcock Memorial Scholarship. These
scholarships will help pay for my Fall 2022 semester at SVCC and allow me to continue down my path in the Nursing ADN program. If the past few years have shown me anything, it’s that we can never truly know what life is going to throw at us. It also showed me just how much we need each other and need our community. I have always been passionate about caring for and helping others, so it fills me with joy that you would choose to help me down my new path. COVID certainly changed the trajectory of my life in a way that I would never have imagined. A career change is never easy, and it’s certainly harder as a non-traditional student, but I know with your support and the support of those around me I can keep working hard towards attaining my goals at SVCC. Scholarships such as these help to ease financial stress which means I can continue to put my focus where it needs to be, on my studies!
