The SVC Foundation can coordinate with you and your professional advisors to help you create a positive and lasting impact at Sauk Valley Community College in the way most advantageous to you and your family.

Planned gifts, gifts commonly donated through a will or trust, are designed to help you meet your financial and charitable goals while supporting Sauk Valley Community College in the long term. There are also ways to enable giving that allow you to direct income where it means the most and will be most advantageous to you in your present situation.

EASY WAYS TO MAKE A PLANNED GIFT TO SVCC​

YOUR WILL​
Include language in your will or trust designating the “Sauk Valley College Foundation” as beneficiary of your assets. Contact us so we can coordinate with you on the appropriate documentation to ensure your gift is used in accordance with your wishes when received.
BEQUEST FOR UNRESTRICTED PURPOSES:

I give, devise and bequeath to the SAUK VALLEY COLLEGE FOUNDATION, a non-profit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Illinois and located in Dixon, Lee County, Illinois, the sum of $______ or ______percent (%) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate as an unrestricted gift to benefit Sauk Valley Community College.

BEQUEST TO BENEFIT AN EXISTING FUND:

I give, devise and bequeath to the SAUK VALLEY COLLEGE FOUNDATION, a non-profit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Illinois and located in Dixon, Lee County, Illinois, the sum of $______or ______ percent (%) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, for to benefit Sauk Valley Community College. Should circumstances later render it impossible or impractical to use this gift for the purpose herein designated, then the Sauk Valley College Foundation may use the gift for other purposes, adhering as closely as possible to my original intent.

BEQUEST TO CREATE A NEW ENDOWMENT*:

I give, devise and bequeath to the SAUK VALLEY COLLEGE FOUNDATION (“Foundation”), a non-profit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Illinois and located in State of Illinois and located in Dixon, Lee County, Illinois, $______ or ______percent (%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, to establish an endowed fund to be used in accordance with the Planned Gift Agreement between me, ____________________, and the Foundation or, if no such agreement exists, to be used for unrestricted purposes to benefit Sauk Valley Community College.
*If you wish to proceed with the option of creating a new endowment, please contact the SVC Foundation Office at (815) 835-6219 prior to having your estate documents prepared to obtain a listing of endowment minimums to ensure that your gift meets current endowment requirements.

RETIREMENT PLAN ASSETS
Complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your retirement plan custodian. Designate the “Sauk Valley College Foundation” as beneficiary. Submit the form to your retirement plan custodian.
IRA ROLLOVER
Individuals age 70 ½ years old or older can transfer up to $100,000 per year to The Sauk Valley College Foundation from an IRA to satisfy the required minimum distribution for the year.
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY (CGA)
Transfer your cash or other assets, such as stock, to “The Sauk Valley College Foundation” in exchange for fixed payments for you and/or someone else you choose each year for your lifetime(s). The remainder of the assets support Sauk Valley Community College.
